Released

K, so I haven't been too great at blogging this month.  It has been busy!  Heidi and I were cramming to get as many prints ready for the printer/framer for their big tradeshows this Summer, but the crates were shipped yesterday, so we are done with that....whew!!!  That was a lot of work but we ended up with some great stuff and hope it all sells well.  We have already had orders placed from companies that don't normally order anything in the Summer, so hope that's a good sign.

We've been busy with Scouts.  Trevin and Tyrel have been so good to help me out this Summer.  We had a bike rodeo where the boys set up their own course and rode a mile to get their requirements completed.

Two weeks ago, I played flag football with my Scouts.  We were working on the belt loop and had an uneven number, so Tyrel told me I needed to play.  What!!!  I was just there to take pictures, but I played, and had fun, and scored a touchdown after several attempts.  Yay for me!

We went fishing at the fish farm.  All of them caught fish for their first time and loved holding the beating hearts in their hands long after it had been removed from their fish.  Trevin had a blast and told me how much he missed fishing.  We had better get the pontoon boat out fishing before Grandpa leaves on his mission.

We also did the PLAY A GAME requirements in my backyard.  The boys had fun setting up multiple obstacle courses, playing with the hippity hops, ring toss, cones, washer toss, bean bag toss and balance beam.  We also played a few rounds of Bocce.

Then Sunday, as I had hoped I finally would get a co-leader called, they released me????  I was totally not expecting that.  I had just finished my first rotation of my year long schedule and was ready for an easy year that was already planned and could be ready and prepared for.  Not so lucky.  I asked Brother Smith if I was that difficult to work with that no one wanted to work with me, but he assured me it was because  they found a husband wife team to take my calling and they needed my organizational skills in another area that is falling apart.  I guess that's a good thing????  I won't post what my new calling is because it won't be official until Sunday and I know people in my ward read this blog, but I can tell you it was a total shock when he told me what they were calling me to.  It's a calling I haven't had for about 15 years, so wish me luck.

Lonely

I'm starting to miss Trevin.  He left Monday to go to his first year of week long Scout camp.  I had jury duty, which is a whole other story, that morning, so I didn't get to see him off.  The wind blew really hard Monday evening, so I hope they survived.  I'm sure he is having a great time and probably isn't missing us as much as we are missing him

Vegas circa 2007

Grandpa and Grandma Evers take each of the grandkids on a trip somewhere when they turn 12.  I ran across these pictures the other day that my mom had given me of the trip to Vegas when Tyrel and Derrick turned 12 so I got them scrapped with the new Las Vegas kit that Heidi and I made and also scrapped their golfing in Mesquite with our new golf kit.  While they were there they eat at the buffet at the Luxor, swim in the hotel pool, see the Shark Reaf exhibit, and the highlight of the trip was getting to see the "O" Show.

This is from when they were golfing.  I scrapped it today at our scrapbook getaway with my buddies in Provo.

Very creative

A few of Tyrel's friends wanted to come over to watch a movie the other night.  They couldn't decide what to watch so they decided to play Guitar Hero instead.  Tyrel is very good at the guitar and he was playing the guitar and the girls were trying to play the drums.  They were having a hard time, so they came up with a very creative solution.  They each took one drum stick.  One was in charge of a cymbal and two drums, the other was in charge of the other cymbal, the other drum, and the foot pedal.  They were able to keep up much better that way.

Trevin's Graduation

I can't believe my baby has graduated from elementary school and will be attending Jr. High next year.  Where does the time go?  They had a great program and I discovered that I somehow missed that Trevin was on Student Council all year.  I was surprised when he stood up when they asked the council members to stand.

Temple Hopping

Sharlynn and I decided to take our new photography skills and see if we could remember everything on our own.  We headed to Salt Lake on Saturday afternoon and photographed the Salt Lake Temple.  We got cornered by the sister missionaries about 5 times.  They were wondering why we were taking a picture of a gray piece of paper, so we had to explain white balance to them.  We did get some awesome shots though.

On our way back down the valley we decided to stop at the Draper temple and Mt. Timpanogos temple for more shots.  We went to dinner and then headed home.  It was a very fun day!

Here is a collage I put together of the models from my other photo shoot.
