Having Tons of Fun at the RETREAT

Well, I think our DIGIscrap retreat was a success!  It was so much fun for me and everyone else seemed to have a good time too.  We did lots of teaching, played some games, gave out some prizes, ate yummy food, had some awesome guest speakers, did a few challenges, and even Heidi and I learned some new things too.  We met some most awesome people and are looking forward to doing it again soon! We are hoping to put one together in Mesquite at the end of April and would love to do one in Park City and Salt Lake this year too.  We are also trying to find out about the fun cabin at Bear Lake to see if we can do one up there.  It would be sooooo fun!

We held it at the La Quinta in Orem, definitely not to be confused with the La Quinta in Provo.  This one was so nice!  The conference room was great, we could barefoot scrap (me and Sharlynn definitely appreciated that), and the hotel rooms were really nice too other than there was not a lock on the bathroom door, weird huh!?  We had enough rooms booked to get a discount on the conference room, so that was a plus!  Persnickety came in and did a presentation on printing with a lab vs printing at home or someplace like Costco.  We had Kristi, a photographer from Cheapshots come in and do a presentation on how to take better snapshots, and Amy did a journaling class that was amazing.

Anyone interested in attending these in the future, let me know.

Heidi and I stayed after we got it all cleaned up on Saturday and were able to go to dinner with Amy and Brooke from our CT.  It seemed like we were old friends and it was so fun to meet them in real life.  I love the friends I get to make via the internet and digital scrapbooking.
